Video problem - flashing screen (1 Viewer)

Hi,

First post on mediaportal but firstly must say what a great product!

I have been running mediaportal for a few months now and all of a sudden when i try and play videos through the internal player, the video plays (generally avi files etc) but the screen flashes and sometimes i get a kind of thick red stripe across the bottom of the screen.

When i use mediaplayer as an external player i do not get any problems but of course it doesn't look as slick as the internal player so I would like to work out what has gone wrong.

Please can somebody suggest where to start?

Hm... can't see anything odd in error log or graph.

Do you...
a) Have any "mega codec pack" installed or
b) use a "stripped ultra cool XP version"?

Also: I see you list DivX as HD codec (this is alpha, isn't it?). Have you been using the DivX codec for a long time?

Might be worth uninstalling and trying FFDShow....

Oh, and are you really using MP 1.0.0 ? If so - why?

Have installed FFDShow and removed Divx and so far so good - although i'm not yet convinced as i used to have FFDshow and i'm sure i removed this when the problem first started... fingers crossed.

I'm not sure if i'm just imagining it but it does like like the picture is a bit slow though... will have to try a few more movies to see what happens.
