video & tvshows don't work anymore/MPTesttool (1 Viewer)

Hi Everybody,

First of all, the mediaportal is a very nice tool! Congratulations to all working on it!

I have 2 problems (related to eachother):
As I was unable to play .mkv movies I downloaded and installed the Haali media splitter and SAF 4.00RC1

However since then, I'm unable to play any movies or tv shows in several formats.
Eacht time I select a move the application stops with a message (translated in english) 'Mediaportal doesn't work anymore. You get a message when there is a solution'

--> I tried to configure MP again according to the defaul settings, but without success.

While searching in the forums I found a reference to MPtesttool. However this was not installed on my machine. Nor there is a 'LOG' directory.

Can anybody help me?

do you have any other codec packs / filters installed on the machine?

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I haven't done anything else as specified in my initial mail.

However,

In the mean time I've looked further into my problem:
When I try to use the standard Windows Media Center, it is also blocking when I select a movie on my specific drive.
When I select one of the small movies provided with WMC, there is no problem...
--> So the problem is not related to the drivers.
