    Hi,
Try with some other codecs(MPV, dscaler) & see if the same thing happens & attach your mediaportal.log from when you have a video played flipped.

Check "Flip Video" is not set in output of FFDShow, This can also be very easily be enabled\disabled by hitting the up\down arrow buttons whilst FFDShow is playing video, you actually need to stop video completely and then it will play normally.

This is a complete pain in the butt, as very easy to catch arrow keys.

Thought i would enlighten everyone with this info as to why it did this, now if the Guys at FFDShow could disable this, it would be great.

I set the codec to "DScaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder" and the result is the same.

    Log attached.

To avoid portal Tester loose time, I'm removing everything and restarting with a fresh 2.0.3 RC3 Vista install. Will report as soon as the job is done.

I deleted all the files in c:\PRogram files\Team Media Portal + c:\programdata\Media Portal + icons in the startup menu + HKCU\Software\MediaPortal.

Anything else to start as clean as possible ?

    Hi,
Should be all, btw you're not vasting my time if you tink so (no bug report are staded as "no bug" before we know it is not MP that causes it & of course MP can be to blame many times) & when i have time i'm on forum to catch whats on there ;)

    Hi,
Have check your log & not sure where it goes wrong
    - Is it flipped when playing in window mode (if it's not probably something with VMR9)
    - If you select MPV as codecs & play a mpg is it flipped (if not probably something with ffdshow, you need to see in the log that MPV it's used as a codec)
    - If it's something with VMR9, then this could be a selection in ATI control panel (in video section)
    - You can try latest ffdshow( i use the latest availible & it works fine with vista)

    Regards
    Roy
