I have a few hundrends of videos that are not movies, just funny clips etc. How can I make the system NOT scan them at online databases and save (MUCH) time?
indeed, or at least make one folder for real movies and one folder for funnymovies that you can seperate. it doesn#t really matter how many subfolder there are..
Put them in Movies Folder and just point vobsub to use that one folder, or a subfolder named subtitles, as long as the names are a exact match to the associated video file there should be no problem.
I don't have vobsub installed, I don't like that it's a piece of software 3 years (or 4?) since the last update. Of course the filter is updated, but anyway I had ffdshow already in, so I tried that instead.
Worked fine.
Check for finalising version 1.0 (the version before looking into DVB-S/T solutions) of Giakoumis (my HTPC):
- Check my EPG because I think it doesn't work for channels I DO have data about.
- Fix TV, since it seems to get forced to SECAM (although Greece is PAL only nowadays) and I loose color etc. The worse thing is that I think I DID fix that, but when WebEPG "interconnected" the channels, it messed them up again (strange). Unfortunately channel info is in that database and I cannot touch it by myself.
- Check if things work ok with CDDA (yes haven't tried yet!).
- Check if things work ok with DVD (same!), including subtitles there.
- Check how MP handles CD/DVD images. Is there a way to allow me to mount nrg and mdf files since Daemon Tools allows for that anyway?
- Add some more actions to my (ATI X10 compatible) remote.
- Add games/emulators to my MyPrograms (looks easy enough).
Things that should be simple but weirdly enough are not:
- Find a way to execute 1-2 stand-alone executables from within MP and WITHOUT going into deep menus (so MyPrograms is not the way).
There is a conflict as you have said between WinTV ad MP TV. MP TV takes over the Hauppauge HVR-1265 card. I may be even getting more channels with it.
The Titan TV worked great until last year. Now it will not run the scheduler. WinTV scheduler will let me program manually but I have to set a program for each day. If I try to set...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal.
Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Hi folks. I have an issue with a new install/integration into my mediaportal system. I have a “mediaportal server” which has the TV...
I do not know why this xml was in my theme folders, it must have sneaked in some time ago (years?). I simply removed the file. The Latest Media Handler plugin seems to be working as expected. I've had no lock-ups.
