Summary:

Please make mediaportal understand that playing "movie [1of2].avi" should resume with "movie[2of2].avi"
also accept formats like (1-2)

Description:

Many people have movies that consists of 2 or up to 4 files that are to be played after each other.
It would be nice if Mediaportal understood these basic "rules" that describe the sequence of the files, and played next file automatically.

Hi,
Put your filenames as movie-cd1.avi and movie-cd2.avi and it'll work (you can also use movie_disc1.avi)....

I wish this format would be extended to include the above, because it's always good to see at a glance that you have all necessary files, rather then having cd1, cd2, and winder if there should be a "cd3"

I would suggest that to make your life easier combine the parts with virtualdub.

joining files work poorly for 3 reasons:

1.- sometimes results in bad sync
2.- often, splitted movies have a few overlapping seconds
3.- joining subtitles often results in bad sync.
