    1. Ensure Daemon Tools is installed with Virtual DVDs created
    2. Open Media Portal Setup
    3. Expand Movies
    4. Select Movie Folders
    5. Delete Virtual DVDs shown in list
    6. Close Media Portal setup
    7. Open Media Portal setup
    8. Repeat steps 3 and 4

Result: The Virtual DVDs appear again in the list.

Note: This occurs for Pictures and Music folders and reflects in the main application which is annoying.

One could assume that this is by design but I agree that it is very annoying.

This feature is great for first time installations to automatically add your drives to MP but doing this everytime setup is started is really questionable.

    I agree.. Why?

I have a BD/HD-dvd drive in the system. Often, there's a BD or HD-DVD disc in the drive..

When you start up 'videos' or 'music', and it adds the optical drives into the default list, it automatically tries to scan these drives for content, which takes about 4-6 seconds of seek attempts by the optical drives with result in the end.

If one explicitly removes the optical drives from the folder list in the configuration, it should persist that config change..

Okay, it's getting irritating now.. I mean, I basically avoid using the configuration tool at ALL, so that I don't have to go into Movies->Folders, Music-Folders, and Pictures->Folders and delete the ROM drive every time... This is in RC2 still. :(
