The Virtual Keyboard has a limitation of only 22 characters allowed to be entered. This is an issue because there are many time I want to enter something longer that that. I had heard that this issue was known and was to be fixed in this RC1 release. It is not.

thanks for looking into this (and hopefully a quick fix).

Also has any one had the issue where text is entered backwards.... For instance if I type "the" it will come up as "eht". This only happens very rarely but was wondering if any one else has experienced it...

Typing in Movie Titles using Media Slayer. For example, Pirates of the Caribean: Dead Man's Chest; The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring; Adventures in Babysitting.

    the list goes on....

You know that you can just enter "Pirates of the Caribean" or "The Lord of the Rings" and you will still get this movie found?

I tried to make a quick fix for this by simply removing the length check in the Virtual Keyboard. This lead to MP freezing when I typed in a long string. I guess this would require more changes, which I think is a bad idea this close to release, considering the low value of the fix.
Btw. I had space for ~40 chars which is way more than I bother to type using a remote anyway.

Ok, well, this is a show stopper for me. I can't type in a correct movie name and have moving pictures be able to pull it up and add it correctly and automatically. Lately, it feels like everything I am suggesting be fixed or improved, I am basically being told "no". Very disappointing and very discouraging.

I am not sure this is broken... you are asking for enhancements and as the team have said many times 1.1 is meant to be a final release of MP1 so they can start work on MP2 and include all these lovely enhancements there. The longer they spend adding new functionality into MP1 the longer it will be before we can get our hands on MP 2 ...

I did try to make a simple fix for the issue, but it seemed harder to fix.

If you had given a more detailed bug report like a previous one of yours that I just searched fixing the issue would have been easier.

Only typing by mouse or remote keyboard are limited to a too short width (i.e. not amount of characters).
If you had properly tested the patch I supplied a long time ago, this could have been fixed 18 months ago.

I know now that I was looking in the wrong place of the code. I'll give it another shot now that I know what is wrong.
