Hi, Im about to build a new Media PC, I have been using WinXp 32bit wih mediaportal sucsesfully for quite some time now but i am now building a new Intel Quad Core, 4 GB ram, Technotrend S2-3200, Nova T-500, and would like to go Vista Ultimate 64bit. Is there any reason why I shouldn't go down this route? i have all 64bit drivers for everything but what about things like H.264 codes, etc? What can I expect?

Kind regards,
Kev.

Yes, MP is not supported for 64 bit OS. I don't think any developer has one. It might work, it might not, but if it doesn't no dev can help you.

Im using 64bit Vista without any issues regarding install or setup. You'll find that you have two program file folders on your system drive, this is for 64bit/32bit compatible software (you'll find MP in the 32bit one ;))

You should have no problems as far as installing and general configuration is concerned. I've been having some issues with setup of my tuner card but this isn't a fault with the software i don't think....it more a codec issue.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
I'm using MP 0.2.3.0 + latest SVN & TVE3 plugin on Vista x64 & that works good, just disable the Vista UAC.
I don't have a TV Card on laptop so not tested TV Server with tuner here.

    Regards
    Roy
