Hi folks

Had a long night last night trying to finish off my HTPC with Mediaportal. I'm damn near tearing my hair out with the amount of time it's taking me to get this working. When I fix one thing, something else stops.

Anyway, I did some Vista tweaking using the black viper guide, and also switched off some stuff to try and make vista start up quicker. Stupidly I didn't do a System Restore point.

Now the Shutdown button on my Hauppauge remote doesn't work. I had it set up before to send the pc into sleep, and it worked superbly. Now the button does nothing. I'm hoping there is just one thing I need to switch back on, and that someone here might know what it is.

Also, if anyone knows how I might be able to set up the pc so I can wake it from a remote location using ipimp or a vnc client that would be great. Did have the network card set up to wake the pc, but it would wake it immediately, as soon as I had sent it off.

Thanks for any help.
