Visual 2005 development (1 Viewer)

I have come accross MediaPortal, and from what I can see looks great.
I am a UK STB engineer, and would love to get involved and see if I can contribute, or at least use this software.
I have downloaded everything, so far so good.
Unfortunately the sln files are not recognised by Visual studio 2005. Does anyone have a solution file that would work with 2005 please?
Trying to download the precompiled beta version, during instillation it says that my OS isnt recognised, and aborts the install. I am using Vista Home Premium 32 bit.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Solution files are only VS2008 compatible.

Unfortunately we don't develop using VS2005 any more so we cannot provide up to date sln files.

I guess you don't have any servicepack installed and this is why it's not possible to install latest MP.
Please review system requirements.

If you don't have access to VS 2008 you could use the free Visual C# 2008 Express Edition . Of course you will miss some advanced features, but it will get you there.
