Hi guys
I am using vlc as an external player which is great. (see post)TV-Server Version:
the gist of it is when i hit stop on my remote it quits vlc.
The Bug that I am having is periodically when I quit vlc everything freezes. It looks like a black (when I use monochrome )screen with vlc's player control stuck somewhere in it. I can use my start menu but the only way to kill it is to ctrl alt dlt
Obviously if i tax my system it is more likely to do it but it has done it with nothing else running. For the purpose of this report I ran handbrake as well
It has done this from the begining it does it no matter what version of mp or vlc or skin i use (Monochrome RULES!!!!!). It will do it with my usb remote, a wireless or wired keyboard. it also does it on other peoples systems I have setup. It is not a regular thing but it will do it at least once a week.
Things I have tried with no sucess
Vlc always on top
mediaportal always on top
both media portal and vlc always on top.
More ram,
Larger power supply.
Different video card.
Increaseing and decreasing the process priority of mp.
I feel like media portal needs to give vlc 1 more second to close before it takes over.
I am confident this a repeatable bug
Its not a huge deal but any help would be appreciated
Great program cant live with out monochrome and mytvseries.
