    All,

I just recently changed from Sceneo over to Mediaportal. Main Reasons:

    a) Usabiliy seems better
    b) Development is quicker (naturally)

However, the only way to get a decent TV picture quality was to use VMR7 instead of VMR9.
My GFX is set to 720p, I tried 50hz and 60hz. Format is correctly recognized on the TV.

Only with VMR7 Renderless I got a picture which was good and did not show:

    - Jumping letters in the rolling info displays at the bottom of like news TV (share prices)
    - Sharp image, powerful colors, on VMR9 I have kind of a blured, weak, flat picture which also seems
    - Picture seems to "jump" when the camera is doing a quick move from left to right or is quickly zooming in or out.

I do hope somebody had the same issues and does know a solution.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

just an addition/clarification: Obviously I was not using VMR7 on MP as this seems not to be supported (anymore) On sceneo I could and this was the only way to get a decent picture out of the system.

So, if VMR7 (Overlay) is no longer supported I have to use VMR9 on MP - so how to get a decent picture out of MP ?

    Thx for the reply.
I forgot to mention, excuse my laziness, that I had tried above codecs (withthe exception ffdshow) already.
Same as on Sceneos software Cyblink's was performing best, but all on a very low level.
The problem really seems to be bound to VMR9 versus VMR7 which does overlay.

Looks like Deinsterlacing issues. Have a look at the settings for the deinterlacing in the codec you use. Try the different values.

Ok, on Cyberlink and most others all you can select is the different de-interlacing methods - BOB, Weave, etc. I usually use "best". To me it seems ffdshow seems to be the most customizable codec. Aren't there any "ideal" settings available ?
