volume control like wmp and video importer (1 Viewer)

would be great to get a volume control like WMP. how it has the in-program volume and system volume controllable from the MCE remote + keyboard etc.

my problem is that i dont want to get up and walk to my stereo to turn it up and down each time i want to change volume. because with the MCE remote, which only uses the system volume, so it goes up in rather large chunks, so it either off or the next notch up isnt very quiet.

if anyone know how to fix that problem for me please let me know!


Also, i would like to see a proper video importer, the music is alright when u view playlists etc. but i havent found a way to import in videos! its buggin the hell outta me!

You can already do this via the configuration application. You can either use the logarithmic volume table or specify your own steps. It was documented in the old wiki, not sure if was ported across to the new one or not.

Smirnuff: I think dawginit meant combining both the Wave & the Global Volume so that you get a larger range of volume levels. Each level is 256 values (from 0 - 255), combining these would give you 64K Levels. You would still set this to a logarithmic scale, because the steps are larger in the lower volume area. So you would have (sample):

Not sure I follow that (had a 30 mile bike ride last nite that has left me mentally drained) since to me volume can be minimum, maximum or anywhere in between?!?

This is exactly what you can do via the configuration application, allowing as many steps as you wish using values between 0 to 65536. Subject to a bit of effort on the part of the user, this provides as fine-grained control over volume as is possible.

i got that volume prob sorted by changin it to logarithmic setting thing, shes all sweet now.

stil dont know how to add video files into MP...

open up configuration then go to Movies
then click movie folders
then add a folder witch has your movies inside
