Volume Control

Hi,

Did you ever work this problem out? I am having the exact same issue. I have spent hours changing codecs, volume settings, sound card drivers - but no matter what I do I can't get the volume to move past the second bar on the osd. I worked ok after install, until I turned down the volume, now it just wont go up again. Using MCE Remote Control and MCE Keyboard with Latest Version of Media Portal (Downloaded New Version Today 15.3.2008) - If anyone has any solution, it would be much appreciated.

He had Vista, just forgot to mention it at a wild guess.

The vista volume problem still exists, as in if you lower the volume within windows environment and then start MP, the volume will never exceed the one that was set before MP loaded.

Say volume at 45%, then MP can only use 0 - 45% and not go above this, really wish this could be totally corrected as have volume set at 100% normally, scarey when vista reboots.

Another thing, i have read on a number of occassions that you cannot adjust the SPDIF volume when outputting in AC3. But why can I have powerdvd playing a bluray in the background and i manually adjust the master volume with my mouse. I would have thought this would be a simple thing to take control of but then again, im not a programmer...
