VST plugins (1 Viewer)

Hi, I have tried a couple of VST convolver plugins for the BASS engine as I would like to do digital room correction with DRC (http://drc-fir.sourceforge.net/):

Everything seems to work fine until mediaportal needs to switch to a new song e.g. in a playlist, then mediaportal crashes.

I get the following errors in the event viewer:

Faulting application mediaportal.exe, version 0.2.2.9991, stamp 468ad4b7, faulting module bass_vst.dll, version 2.3.0.4, stamp 448ca8ae, debug? 0, fault address 0x00001628.


The error seems to be the same for both VST plugins.

MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3RC1 + SVN15077
Windows Version: WinXP Pro SP2
Motherboard: Asus N4L
Sound Card: Realtek ALC 882M
1. TV Card: Hauppauge hvr 1300

Hi Jens,

i'm trying the same (drc), but i am not able to run the vst plugins (convolver) within the MP. How did you install them?

Best would bbe to also post your mediaportal.log file (I will not be able to really debug, but hwarmann might be able to).

G5User, not sure if you meant how to install VST in general or specifically the one under discussion, but if you mean in general...

You put the plugin(s) in the following folder:

:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MusicPlayer\Plugins\dsp

Then you find it under MediaPortal - Setup > Music DSP > VST Winamp. Move the plugin you want to use over to the right and then use the plugin configuration button to configure.

Hey, this might be the wrong place and sorry if it is. I am running MP 2.3 rc1 and I am trying to figure out how to use winamp as an external player(so I can play drm protected files). I enabled winamp in the plugins page and restarted and winamp is running when media portal is, do you have any clue on how to get it to work?
