Ongoing Wake on WAN? (1 Viewer)

Almost finnished with "dream" set up at home. I have on pc the living room and one in the bedroom. The living room pc has all files and the bedrrom pc access them thruogh WAN.

I would like to know how to wake up the living room pc from the bedroom. Any ideas?

LIVINGROOM MACHINE
Mobo: Asus PK5-E WIFI-AP Edition
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
PSU: CORSAIR HX620W
Memory: DDR2 800 2GB KINGSTON VALUE CL5 (2x2GB)
OS: Vista Business 32bit SP1

BEDROOM MACHINE
IBM T30 with a USB WiFi antenna
OS: XP SP2

ROUTER
Comtrend 536+

WOL

Wakeup On Lan should solve your problem. Usually it can be actvited in the BIOS settings (e.g. at your living room pc). After this you can use a WOL tool like wolcmd (Depicus) to wakeup your living room pc from the bedroom machine.

I'am using this tool to wakeup my HTPC from my desktop. Hopefully a WiFi doen't need any special tools....

this is only working if the pc (server) is not on wlan but on lan (via cable)...
there was a plugin for mp .. wakeonlan was the name i think
