I have a problem that when accessing MovingPictures it seems randomly spin up drives on my server and wait for up to a minute to do so.
I have my movies served from a server with 10 HDD that are configured to spin down when not in use with UNC shares used to access the movies there on.
The problem I'm having is that since moving to the new Moving Pictures with Categories, I can wait up to a minute when entering Moving Pictures or picking a category for it to respond. I can hear many of the drives on the server spinning up. At a guess it is checking each drive in sequence and waiting for it to respond. I have auto scan for movies in gui turned off as well as update media info and use real file size.
Can anyone confirm the behaviour of Moving Pictures in relation to UNC shares. Ie what is it doing when?
