Wanna stream movies over net (1 Viewer)

I have MediaPortal setup working working on my home HTPC, but I was wondering if there was a way to stream my movie files over the net? I have MediaPortalWebServices installed and working. Streaming live TV is working with the VLC mozilla plugin. I have no idea if I can set this up to stream my movie collection, music, and etc.

Can anyone help me?

Streaming music and movies is not possible. For that you'll have to wait for MP 2
I believe it should be possible for live TV, although I have no idea what the quality will be like. Your router's upload connection will have to be very good...

Generally speaking, you'll have to make the TV Server visible to the net. The first two base requirements would be these:
- forward the TV Server + RTSP ports in the router to your TV Server
- open holes for the same ports in any firewalls you have on the TV Server

Doing that could compromise the security of your network. To be honest I don't recommend it.
