Is there a way to get media portal to watch two different drives at the same time? When i go into the settings it only allows me to select one drive and not the two different ones i have. for instance i just built me first htpc and have all of my videos on one drive right now but i just added another drive so D: and the new one is L: but i can only select D or L not both.

The selection (marking one of the checkboxes) is determining which folder's content gets displayed first.

    Folders

Using the "up" arrow within MP you can everytime navigate to the other folders.

If you want to have all movies in one (virtual) folder,
you have to use the Database View for this
and therefore create a database in the database tab.

You have to be more precise where your problem is. Here, I can just fine add as many drives/folders as I want on the Videos -> Video Folders page.

yes under the videos folder i can add the drive but only check one drive at a time for media portal to watch. what i would like is to have MP watch and list both drives at the same time so i dont have to physically change what it is looking at from inside MP. so if it is watching d drive and is showing me say 50 videos I dont have to switch to L drive to see the other 10 but list all 60 at the same time. I hope im being clear sorry if I'm not, thanks for the help.

Go to MP configuration / Videos / Video database:

    db_config.png

Select update, then choose a grabber that suits your language and add it.

Go to scan tab and select "update ...", close config after scan has finished.

Start MP, go to MyVideos, select switch view and select a database view e.g. title.
