Weak ATSC signals (bad mpeg2 streams) cause crashes (1 Viewer)

I'm using a Vbox DTA 150, and I've pretty much nailed down the source of many of my crashes as being the result of weak ATSC signals. I think MP just doesn't handle it very well. I can reproduce this any time since my UPN signal is (must be) particularly weak. I will only recieve about 1 second of audio and one or two frames before the screen goes blank, and about 5 seconds later MP crashes to the desktop (if I'm lucky and it doesn't lock up the computer). I'm using a recent SVN build.

Am I correct that MP does not handle bad/broken Mpeg2 streams cleanly, or could this be a driver issue?

I can avoid this problem most of the time by not changing to channels I know are bad. But another source of crashes, is when changing channels several times in a row. I can change once or twice with no problems. But any more than that and I risk a crash in the same manner as a bad signal. Turning the television mode off and then back on again will usually avoid this problem. And so far auotmated recordings haven't crashed probably for this same reason.

I see this exact same behavior with weaker channels, or when the weather causes signal interruptions. I can add that the behavior happens when I use my Fusion 5 Lite as the primary card aswell, so I don't think it is a Vbox Specific issue.
