MediaPortal TV Server supports web streams as channels, this plugin presents a list of available Radio channels which are streamed over the internet and allows users to select which ones to import as Radio channels.

Currently the included countries are shown below. Adding additional countries is easy, simply create a plugin compliant xml file and drop it into %ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\WebRadio and it will be picked up the next time you run the plugin. Contact me if you create other country xml files and I'll include them in the plugin distribution.

The plugin does not do anything in the normal operation of the TV Server, it is a simple facility to allow you to browse and import Radio channels. The plugin does not allow you to view or edit these channels' details, use the existing channel editing facility under the Radio Channels section of TV Server setup if you need to do that.

    More detail on the wiki.

Excellent plugin Cheezey, very many thanks from a fellow West Yorkie! An absolute breeze to install and setup, and works like a charm.

Just one thing - I tried to record the streams but as you said it doesn't work. Will this ever be possible? I suspect not, but worth asking.

    Cheers mate.
    Si

Edit: Another stupid question - do the url's have to be in .pls or .m3u style? I'm trying to add a fave of mine in the US, "Goom Radio - The Machine" and the only url I can find is "http://212.23.58.168:8000/604b88c7-a604-44bc-bbd0-37e930441826" which I've added to the xml file but with no joy. Any thoughts? Cheers again.

2nd stupid Edit: I got Goom working. The url is correct, I just had a typo in the xml file (stupid is as stupid does!). All working beautifully now. Many thanks again Cheezey - fab plugin!

Since the version number seems wrong.

Can someone help me there please.

    Updated for MP 1.2.0 Beta.

XML format has been updated, also added 48 new countries.

Use the links in the first post.

    Hi Cheezey

Thanks for plugin! Just one thing to mention: The installation is always done in default directory. If you have chosen a custom path for MP installation it doesn't work.

    So is your scenario....

    • Use the plugin to add a radio station
    • Go into Radio Channels and delete the radio station
    • Use the plugin to add a radio station <- this fails

What is the error message you see?

Can you post your tv.log & TV Server error.log
