    .... it won't work!

This has happend to TWO different computers; one "fresh installed" (XP MCE and MP) and my own (old setup).

Synopsis: After using WebEPG in MP -> Setup, trying to enter this setting again is impossible! When choosing nation, all "links" (read: nations) are dead; nothing (!) happens.

    Hello there fellow norwegian 8)

Let me tell you how I configure WEBEPG on my setup.

    1. Open Mediaportal config app.

    2. Scan channels using the aformentioned app.

    3. When autotuning has completed; Delete all duplicates, and rename the channels to0 your liking. NB: Still in the autotuning-part.

    4. Sort the channels.

    5. browse to: .....\team mediaportal\mediaportal\ and open something like "webepg channel config.exe"

    6. Map all channels you have in this config app. REMEMBER: the "name" of the channel must be the same as you made it in the auto-tuning.

    7. Press save, and run webepg.exe in mp root.

    8. (Create a scheduled task to run webepg.exe)

This does not cover everything, but try it out.. this is how I have it set up.

    Hei du!

This works well, and is how I done it .... but still; the build-in-feauture of doing this whitin MP (not in XP "enviroment") should work more than the first time you try. Somtime might need to update your EPG channel-list.

    Tog du ann?

Or else.... what? You moving on to another product? Are you going to code the fix so it works the first time?

0.2 is still beta! You should expect to have some problems.

The funny thing is that after Lyxalig told you how to do it... you said this works and works well. Now that we have figured out that it was 100% total user error maybe we should think about what we are posting before we post it. I know of several Dev's that have left this project for comment like that.

I am not a dev's... nor do I know how to code... so anything that these guys give me in their precious time.... I am grateful!

I want to thank all the Dev's who made this project possible.

    Hi Okay,

Thanks for the info. The GUI wizard is known to be a little buggy. The work was stop on it a while back to fix bugs in 0.2. Work should start again, with the hope of getting it working for the next release.

Until then you will need to config WebEPG using the external program.

ASiDiE: You got him ALL wrong

Sorry-... I agree with you, but he was beeing ironic/funny.

"Better get it right the first time, or it won't work"... This boils down to I can't get it fixed if I made an error the first time..

ASiDiE: Yes, you did get me wrong.

I LOVE MP, and would never leave (never leave a winning horse - or somthing). Everything is working 100% here; just giving bug-info to the one who can do anything about it.

Sorry I "pissed you off"! For what it matters; I totaly agree with your attitude towards ppl who whine and gives hopless treats.

This specific bug is fixed with the 0.2.0.2 update

rtv - Which svn was this patch taken from? I'd like to use it to update my system.

    Thanks,
    Mike
