Hi GeX,

    Have you checked the webEPG.log in the log-directory? Then you also need to point to the file XML-file in the config.exe setup under Television->Program Guide but I assume you got all that covered already.

    You can "trace" how things are going by first looking at the webEPG.log, then the TVguide.xml in the XML-directory.

    I sometimes get errords/time-outs because my internet connection is too slow (downloading too much other stuff...).

    /Peter

    I've got no file called TVguide.xml, the file I've got is called TVguide-writing.xml, does this mean it is trying to get information, and so I just have to wait for it to be finished:confused:

    Yepp, I believe this file is the intermediate file before writing TV-guide.xml. At least that how it has worked for me.

    Is there any content in this file?

    Yes, there are a lot of things in the file. This is not the whole file though, there are several other things in it like these ones, only they have different channel names.

    - <tv generator-info-name="WebEPG">
    -

    <display-name>BBC PRIME</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>BBC WORLD</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>Cartoon Network / TCM</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>Discovery Channel</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>Disney Channel</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>Euro Sport</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>MTV</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>NRK1</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>NRK1*</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>NRK2</display-name>

    -

    <display-name>NRK2*</display-name>

    Hi GeX,

    Thanks for the info but the interesting stuff actually comes right after this section. The initial part of the file is the definition of all the channels you are downloading. Further down in the TVguide.xml file you should see things like:

    ...
    <programme start="20070311080100" channel="svt1@svt.se">

Små Einsteins

    <desc>Animerad serie. Fyra barn reser i en röd raket.</desc>
    </programme>
    <programme start="20070311082500" channel="svt1@svt.se">

Pingu

    <desc>Dockfilm. Om en glad och busig pingvin på södra halvklotet.</desc>
    </programme>
    <programme start="20070311083500" channel="svt1@svt.se">

The boy

    <desc>Animerad serie. Toby Goodwin är hemlig agent i en kanadensisk fredsstyrka.</desc>
    </programme>
    ...

    This is the actual EPG-data that is displayed in MP.

    Do you have this in your file? If not, pls have a look in webEPG.log file to see what went wrong.

    Perhaps you can rar together the webEPG.xml, webEPB.log, and TVGuide.xml files and attach to this thread and I can take a look?

    /Peter

    Hi GeX,

    It looks like your webEPG.exe never is able to get to the internet. You're sure you don't have a firewall (SW or HW) blocking it? Seems to get stuck on the very first channel...

    I took your webEPG.xml and ran it to collect the EPG-data. Seems to be OK to me, you can check the results in the attachment.

    Check your internet connection and let me know how it goes.

    /Peter

    PS. It seems you have some channels multiple times in webEPG.xml. Have you created this file with webEPG-config or manually? Me personally I prefer to manual hack the file as it gives me more control what is in there.

    Thank you very much!!! :D :D

    It looks like it was either the internet connection or that my firewall blocked it. But the important thing is that it works fo me now. Again, thank you very much
