Log looks like this after running webepg:

2007-01-03 21:18:32.141760 [Info.][1]: WebEPG: Starting
2007-01-03 21:18:32.159337 [Info.][1]: Loading ChannelMap: WebEPG.xml
2007-01-03 21:18:32.168126 [Info.][1]: WebEPG: Getting Channel 1 of 1
2007-01-03 21:18:32.172032 [Info.][1]: WebEPG: Opening GB\2-www_mydigiguide_com.xml
2007-01-03 21:18:32.479629 [Info.][1]: WebEPG: TimeZone, Local: GMT Standard Time
2007-01-03 21:18:32.480606 [Info.][1]: WebEPG: TimeZone, Site :
2007-01-03 21:18:32.488418 [ERROR][1]: WebEPG: Fatal Error
2007-01-03 21:18:32.489394 [ERROR][1]: WebEPG: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
2007-01-03 21:18:32.489394 [Info.][1]: WebEPG: Finished

On the same machine running XP it works fine - the line above that has a fatal error instead says "no timezone, using local", and continues on to download the EPG data.

Have tried various compatibility modes, different grabber sites etc. UAC is disabled, running as admin.

ps the MP test tool doesn't work either on Vista, something about permissions. If you need anything specific just say.

pps thanks in advance.

Edit: forgot to say TVguide-writing.xml never finishes as WebEPG has insta-crashed out (and disappeared from taskman). It just contains this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE tv SYSTEM "xmltv.dtd">
<tv generator-info-name="WebEPG">
<channel id="bbc1sc@bbc.co.uk">
<display-name>BBC 1 London</display-name>
</channel>

(more of the same if more channels selected)
