Since having possible issues with DVB EPG grabbing I have tried the WebEPG plugin which works pretty well. I have ticked the schedule button but it does not wake the PC (in does not attempt to register)

in an older log when I was using DVB EPG and powerscheduler was ticked to grab EPG at 5am you get this in tv.log
    Code:
    2009-10-30 05:10:20.000000 [Powerscheduler Timer]: PowerScheduler.NextWakeupTime: inspecting handler:GenericWakeupHandler time:31/12/9999 23:59:59
    2009-10-30 05:10:20.015625 [Powerscheduler Timer]: PowerScheduler.NextWakeupTime: inspecting handler:ScheduledRecordingsHandler time:30/10/2009 21:57:00
    2009-10-30 05:10:20.015625 [Powerscheduler Timer]: PowerScheduler.NextWakeupTime: inspecting handler:XmlTvImportWakeupHandler time:31/12/9999 23:59:59
    2009-10-30 05:10:20.015625 [Powerscheduler Timer]: PowerScheduler.NextWakeupTime: inspecting handler:EpgGrabbingHandler time:31/10/2009 05:00:00

but with the same options ticked in the WebEPG plugin I just get
    Code:
    2009-10-31 00:45:44.546875 [Powerscheduler Suspender]: PowerScheduler.NextWakeupTime: inspecting handler:GenericWakeupHandler time:31/12/9999 23:59:59
    2009-10-31 00:45:44.562500 [Powerscheduler Suspender]: PowerScheduler.NextWakeupTime: inspecting handler:ScheduledRecordingsHandler time:31/10/2009 22:37:00
    2009-10-31 00:45:44.562500 [Powerscheduler Suspender]: PowerScheduler.NextWakeupTime: inspecting handler:XmlTvImportWakeupHandler time:31/12/9999 23:59:59
so no EPG handler at all (hence no wake)

I can post all logs if you want but I have been through and there is nothing of note there... the plugin does not appear to have registered the standby handler. I am guessing I can get round this by enabling the EPG grabber options in powerscheduler but this seems a bit overkill as it will try and grab the DVB EPG only to find it is disabled.

    update...

left machine on all last night as was running some tasks for me. The schedule for WebEPG is set to everyday at 5am but nothing happened.

Only entry in tv.log around then is
    Code:
    2009-11-01 05:00:39.968750 [Powerscheduler Timer]: PowerScheduler: lastUserTime: 04:59:39.9843 , False
2009-11-01 05:00:39.968750 [Powerscheduler Timer]: PowerScheduler.DisAllowShutdown: handler ProcessActiveHandler: MediaMonkey wants to prevent standby
2009-11-01 05:00:39.984375 [EPG Grabbing Handler]: PowerScheduler: EPG schedule 5:0 is due: 5:0
    2009-11-01 05:01:39.968750 [Powerscheduler Timer]: PowerScheduler: lastUserTime: 05:00:39.9687 , False
2009-11-01 05:01:39.984375 [Powerscheduler Timer]: PowerScheduler.DisAllowShutdown: handler ProcessActiveHandler: MediaMonkey wants to prevent standby
    2009-11-01 05:02:39.953125 [Powerscheduler Timer]: PowerScheduler: lastUserTime: 05:01:39.9843 , False
so the EPG trigger I set in the the powerscheduler tab fired but nothing at all happened with webEPG.

So even with the machine being awake I have having to manually populate webEPG

Very odd the other day I tried lots of things to get this working to no avail and desptite changing the settings and restarting the TVservice I could not get this to work.
Last night it did a WebEPG handler and it woke at 5am (also had Powerscheduler EPG set to wake at 5am).

Looks like user error but I did try everything so a little confused... Think another clean install might be in order

Same for me. When I activate the schedule in TV Server config > WebEPG, the changes are not saved. This is also true for changing the grab days from the default of 2 days. So, I have to manually run the grabber from within TV Server config to update.

Can anyone tell me a workaround to get this working?

Did a clean install yesterday and have the same problem.

On the scheduling screen all the boxes are ticked and the tvservice has been restarted but no wake took place.

Had a look in the database and in the setting table webepgScheduleEnabled is set to true and webepSchedule is set to
    Code:

Which is either wrong or encoded and I can't tell if this is right???

Can't provide full logs yet as I had hacked them last night to try and identify another problem so have no startup options for the plugin in there. Will try and get these tonight

The value of the setting table is normal, as it is base-64 encoded serialization of an internal configuration object.
You need to restart TVService to apply changes to the scheduling. I know it is not mentioned in the wiki but it should.

If that doesn't work, please provide full logs.

I am sure something is not sticking in the config app as I have done this twice now and I am sure I rebooted twice after setting up the plugin so TVserver would have been restarted. Not at home tonight but will do some experimentation over the weekend
