as long as you dont pull the power-plug (or have a HTPC with a Powerswitch instead of Soft-Power off) of the HTPC, a Networkcard with WOL can start the it.hibernation has nothing to do with WakeOnLan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wake-on-LANin my opinion hibernation is useless becaue the power consumtion is still too high (expensive).
