As I said hibernation completely turns off the computer saving the state to the hard-drive. I had this same motherboard and it did support hibernation. But you have to enable it in the energy options in the Control Panel. The PowerScheduler plugin then can hibernate; if hibernation is not enabled in the OS, it just goes to S3 (or S1).
