I'm having the following trouble with the MP site:

I'm signed in, and the while on the forum pages this is recognized (how else would I be able to create this message). But when I go to a page other than the forum pages, f.i. the download pages, I'm not recognized as signed in. I can't comment on articles or downloads and worst of all I can't update my own submissions.

When I log in again, I'm nicely welcomed, but nothing changes.

Problem occurs with both my company laptop as my home office machine.

Rarely, and do not see any logic in it, there is no problem.

    Any suggestions?

Are you signed in on the Homepage (do not ask why) but they seem to be 2 different systems and different cookies are used.

Also different browsers show no personal details on homepage, ie opera\Firefox does not, IE7 does.

    All browsers are not equal.

    And even more interesting,

IE7 Homepage recognises me straight away

Firefox, no info on homepage until you enter forum and then go back to homepage and personal info then shows up.

Opera, Nothing on homepage only forum.

Thank god I'm not the only one ... would make me feel so stupid.

Yes I'm logged in on the home page. I can log in again and again I'm always politely welcomed but still not logged in (on the home page). The forum always works.

Switching from forum to home page does not help.

Just manged to get logged in, but can't repeat it now.

    I'm using IE7.

thats a known issue of the cache component together with the login-module.
You are logged in perfectly but the cache-component doesnt recognize that and still loads from cache sometimes.
Still hope to get a fix soon...

    High,

Thanks for the reply. This fix will be highly appreciated!

Rather spend my time on further developing the skin than on trail and error accessing the depository.

Delete IE's cached pages, does that make any difference.

High asked me to login\out quite a few times on the testteam homepage, which for me worked flawlessly.

Is it the same provider, for home and work.

Does Firefox let you access, or really is it a "personal" login failure.

Did delete the cache. Automatic login on the home screen still does not work. But I'm automatically logged on the the forum and now changing back from forum to home screen logs me on there too (10 out 10 attempts).

This is no issue. Thanks you both for fixing this!

    PS
Work and home are different providers.
