Since a couple of weeks I have a strange problem.
The EPG data is ONE day ahead. E.g. the shows that are broadcasted today are shown on monday!

I can not figure out what is causing this. I run WebEPG as a task every night.
I looked into tvguide.xml and there the dates are already wrong.
So it must have to do something with WebEPG rather than with MP itself.

In WebEPG-Conf I cannot see any entry for offset or timezone correction. So what is wrong.

I live in germany and so I have to use tvinfo or tvtoday as a grabber. I think the problem occurs with of them.

And I checked the system time on my HTMP, it is correct..

I do not have a clue anymore..

    Jcee,

Mine does the same thing and has done for a number of version now. Previous to RC3 I had to compensate -48hrs now with RC3 I need -24hrs the same as you.

Open Mediaportal Setup > Television > Program Guide

1 Tick "Use time zone information from XMLTV file"
2 Compensate time zone with -24.0 hours
3 Click "Update TV database with time zone compensation"

You should receive a dialogue box back saying update complete. Restart MP and check your guide. Hopefully all is OK now.

i have a similar problem here in New Zealand where the last time i downloaded the tv guide from our local sources and imported that into media portal everything was fine, however i update to the latest cvs then ran another update last night and now my tv guide is out by 12 hours. i tried putting in -12 hours for the time compensation but that didnt seem to help.

    any ideas ?

Although there were a few error in the config file (channel ID changes). So I fixed those. It would be good if someone could check all the channel ids for this site.

I've added a lot of extra logging for the time adjustments that WebEPG makes. So if you still have problems, then post a copy of your log to mp.pastebin.com and post a message with the link here.

    Cheers,

    /James

Can you tell me what xml grabber you used to get the listings for NZ and how to configure it, at the mo im using XMLTVNZ which i downloaded from http://www.reven.co.nz/ - so im running that on my main computer then copying the output file to the HTPC

then i told MP to use XMLTV file rather then one of the options listed in the settings page,

and i managed to get the -12 hour timezone compensation to work - now i get the times to display correctly, but some of the C4 programmes dont display which is a bit of a bugger - so if the ones from the orcon site work i would prefer to use that....

    thanks
    Craig

    Gday Craig,

I develop WebEPG which is included with MP. Instructions for configuring it can be found in the MP manual here: https://www.team-mediaportal.com/mpwiki/MediaPortalSetup_WebEPG

Let me know how you go.

    /James

i looked into the webepg and the orcon listings, but they dont include channel C4 so i think i will stick with XMLTVNZ which i managed to get working with C4

    thanks anyways

    Hi skippy,

I just checked this today. When I created this config file there use to be a lot more channels available. Not sure why they have been removed. Until now no one has said anything :(

I'll see what other sites are available for NZ guide data. Please continue this discussion here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?p=84856#84856

Is anyone still have time issues with WebEPG ?

My goal is that no offset should be required when importing the tvguide.xml file from WebEPG into MP.

If anyone has a problem. Please check the log/tvguide.xml files and see if the time is correct in those.

If posting, post a copy of your log to mp.pastebin.com and copy the link into your post here.

    /James
