Weird Numbers Blasting (1 Viewer)

Hey All,

I have two cards, one an analogue Happauge PVR-150 which has the Foxtel Digital box inputted into it, and the other a Compro Digital just for digital FTA TV channels.

When I use the remote, I can navigate through MP, and correctly choose channels via the TV guide, but when I try and change by channel numbers, I get a weird response. I tried just inputting a solitary number last night to see what would happen and this is the results I'm seeing:-

1 = 517
2 = ABC ( digital card )
3 = ABC2 ( digital card )
4 = 615
5 = 105
6 = 154
7 = 183
8 = 182
9 = 606
0 = 182

:mad:

When I do the "test" channels through the plugin setup, everything works correctly. I used the Foxtel setup that came with the plugin for the IR files. I haven't yet tried to get the MCE remote to "learn" the Foxtel remote, would this be worth doing?

If anyone has any suggestions on files I need to remove/modify or anything else I'd appreciate it.

The plugin is awesome for everything else though, thanks and-81!

Cheers -- Stuart

    What a strange problem!

    Could you send me your mediaportal.log so I can see exactly what the plugin thinks it's doing?

    Cheers,

    Hey Aaron,

    I meant to copy over the log onto my laptop last night when I was playing around with it, and of course completely forgot :oops: I'll upload it over the weekend for you to have a look at.

    I suspect it may have something to do with the remote, as when I test your plugin through the config, it all works correctly. The remote did work with the old MyBlaster plugin, but I haven't tried that with the Foxtel Digital box because I wasn't sure if it would handle three number channels.

    Thanks -- Stuart

    I'll look into it further when I get your log file. But until then, it might be worth checking that the MyBlaster plugin is disabled while testing the MCE Replacement Plugin. Also, you should try teaching the plugin your Foxtel box IR codes, in case the included ones aren't 100% compatible.

    Cheers,

    Are you specifying channels by index or by value?

    Check the MP Television option (in Config->Television->Misc) "Select channel by index (non-US):

    When I enter channel "5" on the remote, I want it to go to channel 5 (and not to the 5th channel in my list) - I therefore do not have the above option checked. If it was checked, it would go to the 5th channel in the list, which could explain the random channel changes you get...

    Ah Garth, you're a genius! I didn't notice that setting on my initial setup, but it's fixed the problem perfectly!

    Thanks for your help, the WAF has gone through the roof! :D

    Cheers to Aaron as well for his great plugin!

    Thanks -- Stuart
