For example in tvcardbase.cs around line 630 there are various functions that reference subchannels.

I am trying to understand what these are. I could see if they were say atsc where you can can like channel 4.1 and 4.2.

However, I am working with DVB-S and transport streams so are these relevant? I am getting a subchannel error that is stopping the graph but I am not sure if I even need to deal with subchannels in my code.

With all DVB transmissions types there are several channels sent on the same frequency (transponder). It possible to record or stream multiple channels from the same transponder by only using one tuner (tv card).

Ah I see. So in the transport stream context for dvb-s the subchannels refer to separate channels on the same transport stream that comes from one transponder. So you might have say 17 channels on a transponder and they are referred to as subchannels? So I should see a subchannel in code for each channel and that is probably discovered through the PMT?
