Ongoing What are the best Ati Catalyst and Avivo package (1 Viewer)

Hi all what is the best ATi Catalyst driver package and Avivo package available for stable decoding and acceleration.

I am struggling to find a decent one. All suggestions welcome.

I don't have the same ATI card as you (I have the HD 2600 XT), but for me 8.7 is the best so far. Before 8.7, I found 8.5 to be the best.....

what codevs do you use with your ATI HDxxxx to make best use of the offloaded decoding of h.264, mpeg2, etc...

Some people say to use the PowerDVD codecs for all, others the AVIO ATI sutff; some people still use coreAVC for h.264.

I am just switching over from Nvidea and what to guage what others think.

I have tried ffdshow, avivo mpeg, however with 8.7 I only have Avivo mpeg, not H264 (as with previous versions) available to decode HiDef TV.
