Hi all,

I receive analog tv from my cable box (Foxtel) via Svideo in on my compro card...
I am just wondering what software encoder are you guys using to render analog input?

I am using Intervideo one, and is not very happy with it, there is a stutter every second that is very audible when a music is playing in the background...
This only happens on analog input, DVB-T is OK...

According the wiki, these three software encoders are installed:
InterVideo Video Encoder (download trial version here)
MainConcept MPEG Video Encoder (download demo version here)
CyberLink MPEG Video Encoder

I got all three installed, but can only configure the Intervideo one...
Does anyone know how to enable the other encoder instead?

As always, MP is a great software :D

Cheers

bump here too...

i have a cinergy htc usb xs hd, and i use it almost only in analog mode (vista sp1).

MP its working with the windvr drivers (link from mediaportal faq) , but the stream is continously stopping with spikes both audio and video. (aprox one "crack" every 5 seconds)
i tried to see if there are any different intervideo drivers and i found <InterVideo.MPEG-2.Encoder.v3.1.6.exe> from here.
Quality is very good, but i experience a heavy shift between audio and video (like 4 seconds). This delay is not fixed and changes when i change channel (the recorded file is already shifted, its not a playback issue)

so neither of these 2 intervideo is ok.
i also tried to play around with setting in the windvr panel, but these doesnt seem to affect MP (i wanted to change something else, like resolution, that its impossible to change in MP config).
(btw, removing windvr does leave the codecs installed, and needs to be removed with regsvr32)

so i went for the "MainConcept.MPEG-2.Encoder.v7.7.0.31558.exe". It does appear in graphedit, but mp seems to ignore it. If i remove the intervideo one, mp stops working, the channels in the mp-tv setup became unbound and everything seems to go bad (i did not reinstall everyhing, i should?).

at last i downloaded the powerdvd 8.0 demo looking for the cyberlink one. but the demo installs only a player, there is no codec inside. neither graphedit or MP does show em.

so, i can try other version of the mainconcept, or look for other encoders, but...
how can i activate em?
a reinstall of MP is needed?
where i do specify WHICH one will be used?
does mainconcept or cyberlink encoder work at all?
there is some other intervideo encoder version to try?

thanks everyone willing to help with this :)
