I'm getting no sound at all when I try and use any of MP's music players or external players with ASIO using ASIO4ALL 2.2 on win 7 32bit with MP 1.1.0.

Here's the error I keep getting...

I know it's not my hardware as I can use ASIO4ALL no problem in Foobar2000 with everything from MP3 to DTS audio.

Looks like you had once tried a DSP plugin, set under Config -> Music -> Music DSP, and this plugin is no longer available or producing an error, which gets captured.

That's weird as I have no DSP enabled, can't remember ever trying one out.

Edit: I went back and checked and I do not have any DSP enbaled. However I did at one point try playing with the gain and and compressor DSPs. Is it possible that they are somehow 'stuck' on and that is what is giving me the problems with ASIO?

What could I do to troubleshoot this?

    Look into your config folder.
THis is where the mediaportal.xml file is stored.

You'll most probably find a file named musicdsp.xml in there. Delete it and try it again.

    Thanks.

I did what you suggested and it seems to have got rid of the error but unfortunately still no sound when playing any tracks, even just MP3's are silent. Checked the logs and no errors, so now I'm stumped.

As i told you in the other thread, you need to ask PureAudio related questions in the PureAudio forum.
I can't help you with that.

    Will move the thread there.
