what options do i use with daemon tools (1 Viewer)

I must say that mediaportal sure is the HTPC thing.

BUT... the thing is people tend to get rather unspecific about how to configure...

for instance... "just install damon tools and it works"..

Well.... it doesn't...

I think there need to be some prereq list and config guide.

For instance...

*Do I need to have daemon tools configured as a service (running)?
Or will mediaportal fire it up upon requests??

*What options should be used... found "secure mode" should be off... (still not working for me)

You have probably done something wrong because indeed DT "just works" with MP.

You switch secure mode from the DT icon in your tray and that is all.

Be more specific with your problem.

it doesn't need it, it uses it if the user wants to keep CD/DVD images and use them in MP

at least DVD-iso files are working fine for me. just add .iso to the file extensions in configuration / movies. But since they have not really a smaller file size than just the Video_ts folder i usually keep the folders rather than making an isofile

It's a matter of if you want an easy way to reburn them or not...

Sure... congiured it in media portal and using the latest build.....

After setting securemore to off i am atelast able to mount 1 dvd... after watching there is no way to get it unmounted.... selecting anything else but looking at this movie again will freeze the computer for ever...... (or atleast the 2 hours i've waited while going shoping)...

any ideas??? What are you guys doing?

Could anyone that has i working (meaning be able to change between several iso files in a row) ... could you please give me ALL you options in daemontools systray menu?????

Daemon tools works for me - options are the std one's escept security one. That means i have Daemon-tools v.4.x.x - automount,autostart,tray icon enabled- nothing else.

I have one question though - is there a way to umount an image after finished viewing?
