what web browser plugin is the most current / popular? webbrowser (1 Viewer)

i installed and tried this:
Extensions-Plugins/WebBrowser - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

latest files are from 2007, and am wondering if there is something more modern, as this does not:
1) have an address bar to input address
2) allow chars to be input via remote

bump, because there are many plugins for web browsers, and different ones, including the one I mentioned that use mozilla or firefox, looking for most current and popular, that allows for address bar input when in full screen and such
