What would cause this to happen? (1 Viewer)

I have had my mediaportal and streamedmp setup the same for quite a while now other then I have switched to the newer editions of them which is a bit different then the old of course.

I used it fine for a week or so and now whenever MP starts up and I go to My Series it has the loading bar in the top right and it just goes and goes forever never updating or finishing its scan.

When its doing the scan my MP will freeze when I try and play any video. I went into streamedmp settings and turned off the auto scan and it works fine again. I dont understand why this started happening though seeing as it has worked fine with the newer version for over a week and the older version has worked for a long time.

I do have a server that the HTPC accesses for some of its tv shows I assume that has something to do with it idk why though.

When I have the scan on startup feature off I have zero problems streaming any video from the server to the htpc.

Not sure I can live with doing it manually if thats what I need to do for it to run smoothly but I did like it auto updating whenever I added files to the drives.

EDIT: Quick things when I say I went into streamedmp settings I meant to say my tv series plugin config. I am not having troubles with anything other then my tv series atm.

I'm having issue being able to play any recorded TV whether from inside My Series or My TV... as a long time MP user I understand MP but I trying the StreamedMP plug-in which carries TV Series along...

When you say "MP will freeze" what do you mean? How do you get it going? I find I have to use Task Manager and do an End Process Tree to kill MP... maybe we're experiencing different issues but you may be knowledgable as a long time TV Series user... see if you can answer some questions I'd posed over here. Thanks!
