Hello

I have just stumbled upon MediaPortal and it looks like what I am looking for.

However, I have Media Center Master installed, so all my movies and TV series have **** data stored in both XML format and a NFO.

However, how does Media Portal store it's data and where?

Thanks

    Hi.
MP uses SQL-Database files in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database (W7/Vista path) for different datas. See also here. When MP is recording TV-shows, a xml-file with information captured from EPG will be stored.

    Hello and thank you.
Will MediaPortal respect my existing covers and data or will it just ignore it?

Also, why is m3ta starred?

Covers, thumbs .etc. will stored in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\{subfolders} . Your existing files will be ignored! MP is using its own files/folders. There are a lot of possibilities to manage additional information for movies: With ore without plugins. Different movie-plugins and all of them handle their files by different ways. But it works ... mostly :D
