Hi,
I have spend a lot of time trying to find the right barebone for my HTPC project.
I keep returning to ASUS Pundit-R, but i see a lot of complaints over noise on this machine.
What are my requirements ?:
I would like a small desktop-like model, that looks somehow like a DVD player.
I would like it to have a display, so i dont have to use the TV.
Card reader would be nice.
IR receiver and remote would be nice.
I have a Hauppauge PVR 150 card, which i would like to put in it.
I has to be able to power off/suspend/hibernate or whatever and wake up to record again.
I would be best if it is silver.
Quiet.
Reasonable price.
To give you an idea of what i am looking for, here are some of the box'es i have been checking:
ASUS DiGiMatrix
ASUS Pundit-R (Sølv)
MSI MEGA PC 865 PRO
MSI MEGA 180 Deluxe
Cooler Master CM Media 250
Which displays can be handled by MediaPortal ?
By the Way, would'nt it be nice with a forum for user's comments on cabinets/boxes/barebones. We could use the manufacturer and model as topic.
Rgds,
Rene
