This is probably a very stupid question, but I don't find any relevant info in the forum or on the wiki.
In TV configuration there are many choices for PAL.
I have been doing OK so far with PAL B and 720x576 PAL/SECAM ITU, but am using the upgrade to 1.0.2 as an occasion to review my settings.
1. IIRC, the standard in Switzerland is PAL G. Often I see B & G lumped together as PAL B/G, but not in MP.
What is the difference?
Should I use G instead of B?
2. Wouldn't 768x576 square pixel be a better choice than 720x576, or would this screw up the French channels that are on Swiss cable? ISTR that France uses SECAM. Is this why 720x576 is recommended, or are there other reasons?
