Which tuner card for OTA HD and Cable TV (QAM, i think)? (1 Viewer)

Is there a tuner card that supports both High Definition with OTA and QAM?

Right now I just have the basic cable package and I've been told if I get an STB with QAM support I can get my local HD channels from the cable company for free. I really don't want to spend $200 on a STB though. Are there even pci cards for the computer that support QAM?

I would still want the card to work with regular OTA HD signals though in case I ever decide to drop cable or they stop letting us get the local HD channels without charging extra.

    Sorry no.
We leverage the BDA Network Providers in Windows.
The ATSC Network Provider doe snot support QAM.

    Maybe with Vista...

So there isn't even a card right that will work with QAM regardless of whether or not you want it to work with MediaPortal?

Yes the Dvico Fusion ATSC cards do QAM and their bundled app works because they have their own ATSC network provider and tuning support.
