Which TV CARD should I buy ? (I live in Spain) (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I live in Spain, and I have a AVERmedia a16AR tv card (Hybrid Analog/Digital) but doesnt work for me:
In windows it only shows my analog channels but doesnt show/find any digital channels.
In MP doesn't work at all, cant find analog or digital channels.
I've already tried finding drivers and all, but nothing changes.

So I'm planning to buy a new TV card, but I want to be sure I buy the correct one, so, I'm asking:

I have cable TV, and my cable TV provider sends the TDT (Digital terrestial signal) too in the same cable signal, so I can see analog (cable) TV and digital TV using the same cable.

Anyone can recomend me a TV card I can easily find in Spain and that suits my needs and works flawlessly in MP with that configuration, please ?

Also, would be nice if I could use it to see 2 channels at the same time (or see one and record another one, of course), but this is not mandatory, just a nice bonus if its not too expensive.

I just woke up and not sure if I need to ask something else :sorry: , but I will do later if I remember.

Also, I'd like to thank the team behind MP, I just discovered this software a week ago after my old xBox with xbox media center died, and decided I would use a PC instead... It's amazing, I'm just starting to discover what I was missing just using my xbox as mediacenter. Thanks a lot again, team.

Hola Juan!

i was going to recommend you the T500 but this is only DVB-T (TDT). as for cable i have no idea, maybe its better if u ask in kubycsystem forum.

mediaportal does not support pip (watching 2 channels at the same time in the same computer). it does support it in different clients. although i dont know if it works with cable tv.

Thanks a lot for the information, I will ask in that forum you said (I didnt know about it) and see if someone can answer me... just saw its a spanish forum, so it will be great to help me find a perfect card to use in Spain.

Also, I have a (very) old avermedia analog-only card I had forgotten about because I didnt use it for about 2 years since I bought the new Hybrid one... so I can use it for analog channels and buy another one just for the digital ones, so that T500 can be the perfect choice in case it works with my cable provider... I will ask about that in that forum you said.

EDITO: Por cierto, no se porque, pero no me deja "agradecerte" tu respuesta, no me da opción, no se si es porque soy nuevo y aún tengo pocos post, o porque, pero cuando me deje hacerlo, lo haré.
