What card to use in sweden with (Boxer) DVB-T and my smartcard?
Can only find the ones with freeview...?
And is there any Dual-card with singel card-reader?
Thanx!

    Hi,

If you don't have FTA for DVB-T then you're currently bound to getting a Fire/FloppyDTV from Digital Everywhere.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

ahh, ok. I have some channels in freeview, but i would like to have all channels, include the ones i got with my smartcard.
I watch the cards on Digital Everywhere, and the floppy-thing. Is that a complete Tv-card....? Anyone test it or know?

Frodo, the (TV-) chief developer has such a device in a cable-version. Others in the team have a satellite-version. This is the most reliable TV card for MP if you want to use a smartcard (subscription) with it. Both, FireDTV & FloppyDTV are fully supported.
The same applies to the DVB-T version.

A note: Frodo even is a beta-tester for them. ;)

For Uk which way is best I have a cable line in from my telewest? I also have dvb-t via outside anntena but reception is dubious at times and I have my sky plus dish which I am currently using only one lead to regular sky box with current subscription. so I have a few choices.
my system core duo 2.4 oc@3.5ghz motherboard p5w dh, 2gb high end gskill ram, windows xp service pack 2. 5gb 500gb of storage over two hard drives. 37 inch lg lcd tv
I live in the uk winter hill location.
I have a creatix tuner installed dvb-t but i am looking to get a greater range in channels if possible with HD. I have media portal installed and working. I also have an old remote which came with a pre built targa system

Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

It's getting weirder..... If I remove all the IP cards in the TVServer setup and then add them back I can scan the M3u and tune the stations but if I rescan it on the same card it just keeps updating the 1 channel. My brain is melting.........

Is this solved? I've had the same, or maybe just similar, issue for a while now, and I've narrowed it down to Onlinevideos getting MediaPortal stuck on the plugin loading stage of startup. Installing the former stable version now, and MediaPortal seems to start without issues. This usually happens when I start windows and...

I also have never used a set-top box with MP, but I think that you need to use an IR emitter (aka "IR blaster"). The IRSS software controls the emitter, and transmits IR signals under the direction of MP. The IR signal is received by the IR receiver within the set-top box, and so can be used to change channel and so on. The set-top...
