I second that. The current setup might be not intuitive enough for new users.

I add my support! I know you can get to it under Support, but having a direct link to Wiki or Manual may encourage users to check the Wiki before posting in the forum.

Especially when taking the discussion in "Media Portals achilles heel; Support" in account, the team should consider a prominent link in the main navbar.

The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.
It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)
