Hi there,

Will I be struggling with the Nvidia FX5200 128MB at a resolution of 1024*768?

IE will it lag?

Thanks.

I had a gigabyte geforce FX5200 for a little less than a year and it was pretty good. It got a little to hot and fried on of the chips on it. I sent it back and after a little bit of bitching because it was talking so long, I told them to send me a 6200. As for the 5200, I only used it for MP (not games) and it worked very well. I also only have a SDTV so I really wasn't watching anything HD. If you currently have HD, this card might be a little slow. If this is what you currently have I would try it out and see how well it works. The 6200 I got from gigabye is only 40 bucks from newegg, so some decent HTPC cards are out there for pretty cheap.

I just noticed that you are running MCE... MCE should give you pretty much the same result when it comes to watching videos and things like that. I would test that out first and see what you can come up with.
