hi developers is it possible to get a version on rc3 that will let me install it onto win7 64 bit as the current install package says os not supported and exits

i understand you will not be interested in problems when running on it at the moment but i would like to try it .

i have it running very flaky at the moment by a dodgy method of mixed versions

please could i get a rc3 version that does not have the os restrictions

    cheers brad

Its notable that any current Win7 release is pre-beta. Even beta should not be used as a main machine, yet alone pre-beta (why not alpha?), only for testing the OS. This reason alone is good enough as to why the MP devs don't need to add support for it yet.

The big question is why won't it install, is it because of a simple code in the installer that checks for XP/Vista and then closes the installation? Perhaps trying a 0.2.3 version with the old installer will work?

Imo it should be possible to "force" an installation even if it doesn't fullfill the installers checklist.

I agree too. I think there should be a "force" option available as a command line switch.
Obviously we don't want people with no idea what they are doing fooling around and clogging up the boards with incorrect error reports, but hopefully a command line option would weed these people out.

Anyway, just my two cents ;-)
