I just installed SP1 on my HTPC (Windows 7 x64) and now i'm getting a popup that my platform isn't supported by MediaPortal. Curious if others experience the same, and if so, it think it would be nice to get this fixed before/in the next 1.2.0 Beta release planned for end of february, because a lot of users will probably install SP1 in the upcoming months. Luckily MediaPortal (and config) start normally after clicking 'OK' ;)

Just to confirm I also get this message with windows 7 sp1 (x86). Haven't come across any problems using 1.2alpha with sp1 other than the above warning message every time either tv server or mediaportal configurations are loaded.
Would any1 know how to disable the warning message coming up?

    Hi,

I got it to. There are no other problems without the information. It's a Beta RC1 and not a final.

    Kind regards

If you are using a Beta version the message is correct, we do not support that. For the final version of SP1 the message should not be shown.

And on this same website it says:

    IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ

We strongly recommend that you thoroughly backup your system prior to the installation of any operating system update.

The legitimacy of this Service Pack as the final RTM bits will continue to be debated until a release to the general public is made from Microsoft.com. Therefore, it is still recommended that you proceed with CAUTION, although no real problems have been found.

There is a remote possibility that this is a near-final development build of Service Pack 1, however this seems to be a very unlikely scenario at this point in time for several reasons mentioned in the various posts below. However, this debate will continue forever until the official release.

Let's not start our own debate about the legitimacy of this leaked version, and wait for the official release...

There is already a mantis for this issue. It should be solved in the upcoming 1.2.0 beta. A final version (so not an RC) should then not show this popup.
