With the current version of moving pictures, 0.7.5, movie files do not play back.
Mediaportal MyVideos plays the files back without issue.
I am running the retail version of Windows 7 64bit and the latest MediaPortal 1.1.0 BETA 1-SVN 20-10-2009.
Does anyone else have this problem?

win7 64bit - no movie playback -Update

I have discovered that the issue seems to be that this current version, 0.7.5, cannot handle .ts files (produced via Floppydvt s2 card). I think this is because this version of Moving Pictures uses the windows 7 default player (WMP) to play back non DVD movie files. WMP does not support .ts (h264) files.
Is this the case?
If so are there any plans to ensure that Moving Pictures defaults to the MediaPortal default player and not the Windows one?
Or is this a Windows 7 64bit only issue?

I've been running win7 x64 for 4-5 months now and haven't had any issues with playing ts files. Do you have the proper codecs installed and configured correctly? From what I recall, Moving Pictures uses the standard MediaPortal video settings for playback (someone please correct me if this is wrong).

Hi Boogie2005 & TheGlassjaw
yours is working by using the
"proper codecs installed and configured correctly"
Can you provide me with your config details and which codecs you are using?
I have re-installed win7 and MP to no avail.

I use matroska splitter with coreavc for my video, and ac3filter passthrough the audio via spdif to my receiver. MovingPictures should use the audio/video codec settings from the MediaPortal/Videos config section, so I'm not sure why your videos would work in MyVideos but not MovingPictures. perhaps you have MovingPictures set to use an external player???
