Hi,
I've got a TechnoTrend C-1501 (driver 5.0.1.8) with UK Virgin Media cable (ex-TW) and I'm running Windows 7. I've have DVBViewer working and can watch channels with no problems whatsoever.
Originally I installed MediaPortal Beta 1 and set up the TV server and was able to view the channels successfully after doing a plain UK Telewest scan, but noticed that some channels were missing from the channel list. After posting on some boards, I was told to scan the base frequency (411,000khz, 6952) and it should pick the rest up. I did this and it picked up a total of 250 channels but I can't watch any of them at all now. I just get an error message saying the connection to the TV service was lost when I try to view any channel.
I've tried reinstalling MediaPortal, the TV server, MySQL and the card drivers (and I've tried the latest weekly build of MediaPortal) but I experience the same issue. I even tried reinstalling and putting MediaPortal back to the way it was (by running a plain UK Telewest Scan) but that just seems to crash the TV server now - only a manual scan will work. No amount of reinstalling seems to change any of this and I've just got no idea why it's behaving so strangely when it worked (kind of) initially. It's driving me nuts!
I can't even scan for channels with the 1.0.2 stable version, although I assume this because it's not compatible with Windows 7.
I have checked the logs and the following error stood out: "start subch:0 No PMT received. Timeshifting failed"
Can someone help at all please?
Thanks,
Binny
