I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and did a clean install of MediaPortal.
Other than MediaPortal I only have the basics installed (ffdshow, moving pictures, tvseries)
I have been experiencing random freezes from which I cannot ctrl+alt+delete out of. The freezes occur when starting or stopping TV/Video/OnlineVideos - anything with Video.
It happens at random. But quite often.
I managed to reproduce it using the debug logger (blue-3 no plugins). But didn't manage to catch logs. THe logs provided are from normal use with StreamedMP + plugins. However the same issue occurs with no plugins.
I thought it was IFC to start, but I disabled it and it still happened. I am just using the Microsoft DTV codecs, so dont think its those.
I believe that the dynamic refresh rate changer causes the problem, as since turning it off I have not had the problem again.
UPDTE: It just happened again with dynamic refresh rate changer off.. but the logs are not set to debug will set them to debug and keep testing.
